Vinddalsvatnet around Søfteland

From the parking lot at Søfteland School, cross the main road and take the side road that leads you down to Internatvegen.

  Follow this road over and go right up Helglybakken. You are now at the turnoff road again. Follow the sidewalk towards Jokerbutikken. About halfway through the turnoff, cross the road and follow Vindalsvegen. If there is a lot of traffic, it is recommended to walk all the way to the sidewalk with Joker and cross the road.

Follow Vindalsvegen south past houses and farmyards. Just at the end is a field. Go right to the very edge of this field. Just around the corner you go through an opening in the fence where the path starts.

Follow the path along the water. The path is clear but there are many soft sections. The path leads you to the end of the water and you cross over to the other side where Kvernatjørna and Vindalsvatnet meet. You now enter a forest road. You can either go left (as the GPS Track shows) or right. Both roads lead to Hetleflåten. The walk continues on a paved road. At the Next intersection, go left up the hill. Continue past all the private homes and at the end there is a new tractor road. Go through the gate and follow the road north. Go through the new gate and continue over the long wooden bridge that Os turlag has built. Now just go straight ahead for the last 2 km. which leads to Byvegen.
