Description
On beautiful Osteroy you will find Stabbesteinsvegen, a spectacular road that stretches over 7 kilometers on the east side of the island.
With a total of 1,727 staff stones, this unique road winds from Blomdalsleitet and the hiking group cabin at Træet, all the way down to the idyllic fjord at Grøtto.
The road then moves around Botnavatnet, past some cabins, and then begins to curve down towards the fjord and Grøtto. This is the most exciting part. Here it goes down steeply on one side, and there are large boulders set up all the way down to the fjord.
Down by Grøtto there is a pier, an old cabin and a dilapidated boathouse. Return the same way.
