Short mountain hike Ljosvollsvarden (301 m) from Vallaheiane

This is a short walk that you can do all year round. From the parking lot, follow the winding road uphill. Turn left at the first intersection and follow the road further uphill. At the top, turn left across the flat towards the house at the end. Go up the hill on the right side of the house. Here the path starts and there is a sign marked 'LJOSVOLLSVARDEN'.

The path leads steeply uphill. It is rocky and slippery in places, but the path is wide and clear. Follow the path up to the gravel road where there is a turning point. On the other side of the turning point a new path starts and there is again a sign 'LJOSVOLLSVARDEN'. Follow the path through the spruce forest to a new crossroads with a sign. Once again there is a sign 'LJOSVOLLSVARDEN'. Go right just after the crossroads and follow the ridge about 100 meters straight ahead until you see the cairn.

The cairn is not very large, but the view of the nearby mountains is nice. There is a cozy bench set up. It is somewhat soft in the area around the cairn.  

Return the same way. For those who think the trip will be the shortest, you can go back to the crossroads and follow the path marked 'Vallaskaret'. This will give you a nice round trip.
