Access

From Bergen you drive to Kvamskogen. Drive past NAf (Kvamskogen Landhandleri) and turn right at the sign 'Furedalen Alpin'. Park down on the flat. The upper parking lot is reserved for visitors to the alpine facility.

Parking costs NOK 100 per day. Payment with Vipps. Good mobile phone coverage at the site.

Description

Cross the bridge and strap on your skis. There is a driveway from the bridge. Follow the ski Track up to the Alpine Resort.

Cross the ski resort at the bottom and follow Mødalsvegen to Mødalen. There is a groomed ski Track with a steady incline and a somewhat steeper slope the last part up to Mødal.

From Mødal you follow the ski Track further south (right side cabin farm) up Tjødnadalen. There is a gentle climb up to Svartatjørna which is located at the foot of Såta. Here the groomed ski Track ends. Cross the stream and go up the steep hill on the north side of Såta. Follow the valley a bit south before rounding up to the left at the back of Såta.
