Mountain hike to Solhellanuten (907 m) in Kvamskogen

Solhellanuten (907 m), Kvamskogen – Perhaps the easiest mountain peak to climb in Kvamskogen.

The hike starts on a gravel road up to the cabins at Byrkjesete, before a clear path leads further towards the summit. Some steep sections towards the end. Approx. 9 km round trip, 4 hours and 536 m ascent. At the top, a great view of Hardanger, Folgefonna and the mountains of Kvamskogen awaits.

Return the same way, or continue over the peak and down the back to Sunnvoredalsvatnet. From there, follow the path south along the river, before it turns west towards Storebotnen and further down to Byrkjesete.
