Ulriken (643 m) up Ulrikseggen

Ulrikseggen is the steepest route up to Ulriken. The ridge goes steeply up the northwest side of the mountain.

To reach the top, start by walking around Svartediket. When you reach the intersection at Isdalen, continue on the road straight ahead and choose the road that goes to the left. After about 300 meters, there is a path up into the forest (left side). Follow this. It is a steady climb at the start and you have to cross some soft areas / bogs. Then it gets steeper with some easy climbing sections. There are several viewpoints on the way to the top. The walk up is not exposed, but can feel airy if you are afraid of heights. When you have reached the top of the egg, it flattens out and you follow the path to Ulriksmasten.
