Description

Start your two-day hike in the heart of the Western Norway World Heritage Area at Nærøyfjorden.

The tour starts at Upsete station, easily accessible by local or Bergensbanen. You walk into Breidalen, gradually ascending along a solid path and passing Eilifsnuten before reaching Ljosandbotn. Here the landscape opens up with beautiful colors and gentle formations that lead you on to Heggjanuten and over a summer bridge at Rjoåni. Then the journey continues through Stordalen and Jøtebotnen before Grindafletvatni comes into view and you spot Grindaflethytta. Walk along the water and then cross the river.

Hytta er en klassisk, selvbetjent DNT-hytte, med vedovn og  matlager. Etter en natt her, er kroppen og knærne klare for dag for 2. etappe som går videre ned til Flåm.
