Description

Demanding mountain hike to spectacular Breiskrednosi (1189 m).

The hike starts down by the Nærøyfjord where you walk up the winding path Rimstigen. It is a steep path with a climb of 725 meters that winds up the mountainside. The last part is paved with stone steps. Then the hike goes into the mountain through a lush valley. You have to cross a river and follow the mountain ridge that runs parallel to the Nærøyfjord. Once you have walked over Rimstigfjellet, you can see Breiskrednosi sticking out into the fjord.

From Breiskrednosi it goes steeply 1000 meters straight down into the fjord, and you get a fantastic view inland towards Nærøyfjorden and Gudvangen.

Return the same way.
