Austefjellet (808 m) from Bontveit

The most common route to Dyrdalen goes from the top of Bontveit and via the cabins in Bjørnastølen.

Follow the path on the left side of Dyrdalsvannet past the cabins and walk up the hill until you enter the cairn range. From here, follow the path along the cairns all the way to the top. At the top there is a great view of nearby mountains; Søre Gullfjellstoppen, Hausdalshorga, Nobbane, Sletteggen and Livarden. For a longer walk, you can walk down to Redningshytten or take a round trip via Hausdalshorga.
