The 7-mountain hike in Bergen, organized by Bergen and Hordaland Turlag.
The walk is held on the last Sunday in May each year, and the first walk was held in 1948. Today, several thousand people participate on the official walk day.
The route starts in Gravdal and goes over the mountains Lyderhorn, Damsgårdsfjellet, Løvstakken, Ulriken, Fløyen, Rundemanen and Sandviksfjellet. The trip ends at the Bergen and Hordaland Turlag offices in Marken.
The trek is known to be demanding due to the varied and hilly terrain, as well as the total length. The route usually takes 10 hours to complete, depending on pace and physical fitness. It is important to be well prepared with the right equipment, including good hiking shoes, food, water and clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
The 7-mountain hike is a great way to experience the nature around Bergen, while also getting a good workout.
If you don't want to wait in line, it is recommended to go outside the official tour day.
