Stemmesegga (573 m) from Haus

From the youth center, go out onto the main road and turn right. Follow the road for about 300 meters to the sign marked 'Stemmesegga' (left side).

  Walk through the farmyard and follow the forest road inwards along the stone wall. Go through the gate (remember to close it) and past an old rowan tree. From now on it is a steady climb and you follow the forest road through a spruce forest.

When it starts to flatten out, the forest road ends and you come to a large bog. Walk straight across the bog where it is marked with wooden pegs. Further on there is a slight incline and over a smaller bog. From here the path gets better and you just have to follow the path that zigzags up the mountainside to the top. The path is marked with wooden pegs all the way.

At the top there is a cairn and a beech. There is a nice view over Sørfjorden and you can see straight across to Garnes and Ytre Arna.

There are many soft areas so we recommend hiking boots that go above the ankle.
