Access

From Bergen you drive to Åsane and then on to Arna. Drive through the Arnanipa tunnel. Drive through another tunnel and then turn left at the sign 'Takvam'. Follow Tunesveien towards Garnes. Follow the road for about 1.7 km and drive up the hill to the left by the old school building. A little unsure if this is an old school or something else.

Description

The tour starts at Tune's school in Garnes.

From the parking lot, follow the road up the hill past the house (right side). Just before the Next house, take the tractor road up to the right. Follow it up the hill and around the bend to the left. When you reach the crossroads at Tingstølen, take the road to the right. Follow this road further south. Gradually you get better views. Especially nice views down towards Osterøybroen. At the Next crossroads, go left up towards Tjovedalsrinden. Here the road turns into a path. Follow the ridge south all the way towards Tunesfjellet and on to Storhaugen (567 m. above sea level) right by the high-voltage pylons. There is a steady climb all the way.

There is no market cairn on Tunesfjellet, but the view down towards Arna is great.
For a slightly longer hike and more beautiful views, you can continue on to Repparåsen.

Return the same way.
