From Bergen, drive to Nesttun and follow Osveien towards Os. When you reach Kaland, turn left into Bontveit. Follow the road all the way to Frotveit light trail (approx. 6 km.).
There is ample parking at Frotveit, but on nice winter days it is a good idea to be out well in advance as the parking lots can get quite full.
Parking costs NOK 50 per day. Payment with Vipps.
The illuminated ski trail at Frotveit is open as long as there are good snow conditions.
The length of the round is approx. 3 km. There are long flat sections and lots of fun hills to run down. The hills are not steep so I would say the trail is suitable for everyone.
The long surfaces are great for kids to practice good skiing technique.
The lights are on until 11pm.
For a longer trip, there is a paved Track over to the light trail at Totland.
