Eikedalen Panorama mountain hike

This is a great tour of the mountains surrounding Eikedalen. From the parking lot, go through the passage with the two garages. Follow the gravel road up the hill (alpine hill in winter). Walk towards the top of the chairlift. Just before the top, the gravel road ends. Then you can just follow the masts to the top.

At the top of the alpine resort, turn left and follow the path for about 300 meters towards Grøet (920 m). You can see the small cairn from a good Distance . The view here is impressive. There are good views in all directions.

From here you go back towards the top of the alpine resort and follow the ridge further east. You have to go down into a dump before it goes up towards Flæfjellet. There is a path and the terrain is open. Follow the path up the scarp to the puddle and then go south-east. You will see the mini cairn on Flæfjellet on the left. From the cairn you go north-east. Here it goes steadily downhill to Skeisskartjørna. You can see the water from a good Distance . Walk the ridge on the right side of the water. From here you go straight up the scarp on the left side of Storafjellet. follow the stream up to the puddle. From here you go up the scarp to the right and then turn left towards the top. There is some criss-cross hiking in this area and you can choose where you want to go. The point is that you are going around the back of Storafjellet and then go south-east. You will see the mini cairn in the Distance .

From the top of Storafjellet you walk north-east towards Holmavatnet. This is the large lake that you see from a Distance . Follow the terrain until you see Kråketjørna where you will come down at the end (southern part) of the lake. Here you enter the DNT trail that comes from Vending. Follow the trail south towards Eikedalen. The trail goes through fantastic nature and it is especially magical when you come down Raudåna and see Skeiskvanndalsvatnet.

Follow the path along the water to the end and cross the bridge. From here, follow the path towards Eikedalen on the right side of the river. After a short Distance , go through a gate and follow the gravel road down to the ski resort.
