Access

From Bergen city center, drive to Fana towards Lagunen. Then drive Fanaveien to Fana church and turn right to the sign Krokeide. Drive Krokeideveien to the end down to Krokeide pier. There is free parking here.

Free parking before Krokeide quay. NB there can be a lot of cars here as people from Austevoll often park their cars here.

Description

The anniversary trail 'Bergen along the way' was created in connection with Bergen's 950th anniversary.

It runs from Krokeide in the south to Salhus in the north. Approx. 55 km and 2500 meters of ascent. The trip is divided into 8 stages.

From the parking lot at Krokeide kai, follow the sidewalk along Krokeideveien up to the intersection into Austrevågen. This is where the Jubileumsstien starts. You will see signs. The first part of the walk is on asphalt, then onto a gravel road. You will come to a large notice board that describes the walk.

Then follow the path with a steady climb in hilly terrain. The hike is marked with red wooden posts so it is easy to find your way. As you get higher, you get a nice view of Fanafjorden.

I would recommend taking a detour to Folldalshaugen and the beautiful cairn (as you can see we have done on the GPS Track ). Here is a 360 degree panoramic view of all the famous mountains in Bergen and nearby municipalities. Then follow the path north towards the Linken building and then down the stairs from Lysekartfjellet. When you have come down the stairs, go left. Follow the marked path down to Krokeideveien and walk the last part on the paved road to Fana Kulturpark.
