Vatnahalsen High Mountain Hotel
The hotel is located at the top of the famous Flåm Railway (840 m above sea level) in Myrdal, high above the Aurlandsfjord, and can only be reached by train.

You are surrounded by wild mountain scenery and have direct access to hiking trails and fishing spots at Reinungavatnet. The hotel rooms face the mountains. A buffet breakfast is served every morning.
The Flåm Railway stops at Vatnahalsen station, just 50 metres from the hotel. From Flåm, 20 km further down the valley, there are fjord cruises to the Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The popular Rallarvegen cycle route runs through Vatnahalsen. This spectacular cycle route crosses the Hardangervidda plateau and ends at the Aurlandsfjord.
In winter, the hotel is a popular starting point for ski trips, both mountain skiing and ski touring. They have many great package deals that include accommodation and ski trips with a guide. In summer, there is Rallarvegen and many great mountain hikes in the area!
