Hiking in the Botanical Garden and around Mildevannet

This is a hike that is suitable for everyone, both young and old. The hike starts at the parking lot of the Botanical Garden, which is located opposite the more famous Aboretet hiking park.

There is an information sign at the end of the parking lot. Take the gravel road on the right to enter the garden. Go up the hill to Lindhaugen and towards Litle Mildevegen (paved road) which leads you west towards Mildevatnet. Go up the hill and past all the houses and down the hill to the end of the road where there is a turning area.

Now the walk turns onto a path. Follow the path down to the left and further to the left where there is a sign 'Steinsgardsvikane 1.0'. Follow the path through beautiful forest and over all the wooden bridges until you arrive at the bathing cove. Here there is a bench and nice for swimming.

Return on the path to the right, signposted 'Milde'. This will take you up to Skipanesvegen (paved road). Here, simply turn left at every intersection and you will return to the parking lot. It is about 1.5 km to walk on the paved road.
