Description

The Bjørndalstraversen hike is an impressive round trip that you should only do if the weather is nice and clear. From the starting point in Muradalen, follow the path up towards Andersfjellet, which reaches a height of 1211 m. From here there is no longer any path and the road goes through rocks. The continuation goes along the ridge towards the top of Bjørndalstinden, which rises majestically to 1426 m.

The Next part of the hike takes you to higher altitudes, especially below the exposed traverse between Bjørndalstinden and Juklavasskruna, which reaches an altitude of 1455 m. The narrow ridge stretches for about a kilometer and provides an exciting challenge for adventurous hikers. Belaying with a rope is recommended here. After passing Juklavasskruna, you have the choice of continuing along the ridge in a horseshoe formation towards Bjørndalsnuten or descending into Bjørndalen.

Through Bjørndalen you will discover a stor by Stølsvatnet. From here a somewhat winding path leads down towards Muradalen, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery along the way. It is recommended to set aside plenty of time for this challenging round trip, as the total length is 22 km, and you should expect to spend between 12 and 15 hours on the entire adventure. This trip not only provides you with a physical challenge, but also rewards you with fantastic views and nature experiences that will stay in your memory long after the trip is complete.
