Access

From Bergen you drive to Askøy. Drive over the bridge and continue straight through the Stongafjelltunnelen. At the roundabout after the tunnel, drive straight ahead following the sign 'Ravnanger / Herdla'. Drive straight ahead to the intersection at Steinrusten. Turn right following the sign 'Steinrusten / Erdal'. Drive Erdalsvegen approx. 1.3 km until you see the bus stop on the left. Park on the opposite side (right) of the road.

Description

From the bus stop, follow the paved road inwards towards Frudalen to the waterworks.

Just before the entrance gate to the waterworks, turn left onto the path that leads into the forest (see sign). Follow the marked path through the forest and over marshes. Long wooden bridges have been built.

After a while you will come out onto a forest road. Follow the signs to the right with Ingjerdsvatnet on your right. The walk continues to the right of Ravnanger and you will pass the path up towards Dronningen.

Shortly after, there is a forest road and stairs down to Båtvikvatnet. It is nice to take a break along the water. Then continue the hike over a new ridge. It goes both up and down in the terrain, but the path is good and there are many bridges.

The last part of the stage goes on the way to the mill at Åsebøvatnet. This is the end of the second stage.
