Here it is easy to start the hike straight out onto the plateau, with big skies and a calm high mountain atmosphere as a backdrop.

Accommodation is divided between the Main House and Oppigard, with rooms from one to three beds in the main house and shared rooms with up to eight beds in the annex. Made-up beds, towels and breakfast are included, and shower/toilet facilities are shared on the same floor. In Oppigard, there is a large gathering room with a fireplace and bar, and a dormitory that can be rented by groups.

In the main house, "near and dear food" is at the center, with the day's 3-course meal for overnight guests every evening and a café open daily from 11 am to 6 pm with soup, waffles/lappa and cakes, among other things. A kiosk with maps and hiking drinks, a sauna that can be booked and free parking make stopping by extra easy. Outdoor equipment rental and package deals with accommodation, activities and food make a lot of the high mountain days.
