Access

From Bergen, drive over the Sotra bridge. Then drive through the Kolltveit tunnel and turn right at the roundabout towards Ågotnes. Drive past Ågotnes and on to Rong. When you see Rong shopping center, turn left. Follow the road past Rong Skole (right side). At the end of the road, turn right at the sign 'Ono'. Then drive the second entrance on the left onto Onovegen. Follow this road to the tour parking lot.

Parking

Free tour parking at Ono. If the parking lot is full, you can drive back a bit and park along the road.

Description

This is an easy hike suitable for everyone. Good shoes are recommended as it can be slippery in places.

Crampons are recommended in winter. Follow the path where the sign 'Dethloff' is. Wooden bridges have been built and the path is marked with blue-painted stones. It is approx. 1.5 km from the parking lot to the cabin. You can see the cabin from a long Distance .

The cabin has great views in all directions.

The Dethloff cabin is private so please be considerate if there are people there. For those wondering, this cabin was used for filming the 2017 film The Snowman based on the book by Jo Nesbø.

For a longer trip, you can take a round trip around Ono.
