Mountain hike to Eldsfjellet (324 m) and Eldsbu in Alver

The hike to the top is short, but there is a nice view of the fjord at the top.  

The trail starts just north of the parking lot at the motocross Track at Rossland. Look for a small sign by the roadside. The hike goes steeply up until you get above the tree line. It then flattens out a bit, before getting steep again towards the end. You will reach the summit cairn at 32ac4 m.  

Right Next to the cairn on Eldsfjellet is the Eldsbu day trip hut. For a longer hike, you can continue on the marked trail to Veten (290 m), which is further west on the mountain massif. You can see the peak clearly from Eldsbu.
