Eikedalen is one of the most popular ski resorts near Bergen and is located in Kvamskogen, about an hour's drive from the city. The ski center has 8 lifts and 12 slopes, with lifts such as Tvillingtrekk 1 and 2, Setertrekket, Fjellheisen, Tallerkentrekket, Veraheisen, Tobiasheisen and Toppheisen. Here you will find slopes of all levels of difficulty - from child-friendly slopes to longer and more demanding slopes - in addition to good conditions for both snowmaking and night skiing.
Stordalen Ski Center (Masfjorden)

A small and social neighborhood in Masfjorden with a low threshold
Stordalen Skisenter is a well-organized, local alpine resort located up in the mountains next to Stordalsvatnet in Masfjorden – perfect for families with children, beginners and those who want efficient skiing without queues. The resort has a saucer lift (stated at approx. 550 m) and a children's ski lift/ski rope, with groomed slopes on both sides of the lift and opportunities for more varied skiing in the forest terrain when conditions are right. A heated room and a clear "meet at the bottom" feeling make this a nice weekend destination in the area.

Hardanger
Røldal Ski Center (Ullensvang)

High mountain alpine terrain with lots of terrain above the tree line and solid freeriding when the snow is firm.
Røldal is one of the most snow-sure names when people search for ski resorts Vestland with proper high mountain skiing. The base is located high, and 7 lifts take you up to over 1200 m above sea level. There are normally about 12 runs (total length around 15 km), but the experience varies with nature and snow conditions - much of the area is above the tree line, so you get open surfaces and good visibility towards line selection. On calm days, this is also a great place to practice turns in wide routes. The season was also long, often right up until May.
Sysendalen Ski Center (Eidfjord)

Winter area at Hardangervidda – but be aware of the operating status during the season.
Sysendalen is a well-known winter area in Eidfjord with good cross-country skiing opportunities and an active trail network operated by Sysendalen Løypelag. According to an update on the trail association's website, there will be no operations at Sysendalen ski center in the 2025/26 season. This means that there is no possibility for slalom, but with all the groomed ski trails there are still very good opportunities for cross-country skiing.

Finse is a true high mountain, and Finse Ski Center is a compact ski resort that is best suited for short sessions, beginners and those who want to try simple skiing in an iconic mountain area. The resort consists of 1 lift and around 2 km of slopes, with a clear “small but pleasant” profile. Their website updates opening hours and events in season, and it is smart to plan according to the weather since you are in a harsh area.

The family attraction at Kvamskogen, with a low threshold and trails suitable for everyone.
Furedalen Alpin is a safe choice when you are looking for a ski resort a short distance from Bergen or Norheimsund, and which works well for children, beginners and night skiing. The resort consists of two lifts, one children's lift and six slopes. There is a café, a heated room, ski rental and a ski school.

Fjellhaugen Ski Center (Kvinnherad)

Fjellhaugen Ski Center is located in Kvinnherad, around 500 meters above sea level, and is a great choice for those who want a quiet, family-friendly facility without stress. When there is snow, you will have both an alpine slope, toboggan runs and groomed trails.
The resort has a ski lift of approximately 1 km and two slopes, with a height difference of around 175 meters. In addition, there are approximately 5 km of prepared lighted trails for cross-country skiing.

Myrkdalen is a favorite for those who want "everything in one place": a mountain village, good service and a solid trail network. The resort offers 22 trails and 9 lifts, including express lifts and several lifts that allow you to spend more time on the slopes and less time in line. Parish Ski Center at Hafslo (Heggmyrane) is located about 20 minutes' drive from Sogndal. The facility is often highlighted as one of Norway's best ski centers for free skiing from a lift. Here you will find 4 lifts/tows and 9 slopes. The center is a pure "powder mecca" with large areas for lift-based free skiing, its own off-piste trail and varied terrain - from park and quiet slopes to steeper sections with up to 700 meters of altitude. Sunnfjord Ski Center (Førde)

Floodlit and easily accessible ski resort near Førde.
Sunnfjord Ski Center in Blomlia is a small, community-based ski resort 8 km from the center of Førde. The resort has 3 floodlit slopes (main slope 1.1 km, children's slope 120 m and family trail 1.7 km), as well as 1 km of lighted trail for cross-country skiing in addition to the alpine trails. There is also snowmaking, which provides more predictable operation in favorable temperatures. The trails are well suited for short sessions and evening sessions after work or school.

Jølster Ski Center is located in a classic western Norwegian winter landscape and offers alpine trails for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
The facility consists of 3 ski lifts (Kvamsheisen, Bjørkeliaheisen and the children's/family lift Hauglandsheisen) and around 4 km of groomed slopes for all levels. The ski center has a heated lounge with café and a floodlit trail for cross-country skiing, in addition to groomed hiking trails and beautiful free-skiing areas.
The slopes offer fantastic views of Lake Jølstravatnet. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the ski resort from Førde.
Northfjord

Harpefossen is one of the most complete options when looking for a ski resort in Northfjord.
The resort has 7 ski lifts and 13 slopes in well-groomed trails for different levels. Here you will find a Hot tub and café, as well as a floodlit trail and around 15 km of groomed cross-country trails with both classic and skating tracks. There are also floodlights on both the alpine slopes and cross-country trails, which provides good opportunities for evening sessions.

Stryn Ski Center (Stryn) – Stryn Winter Skiing

Stryn Vinterski (Nakkjen) is located a short drive from the center of Stryn. The ski resort has 4 ski lifts that provide access to a varied alpine resort from child-friendly areas to spectacular slopes from 1,000 meters above sea level. The resort offers 8 groomed slopes in blue and red difficulty levels, great opportunities for free skiing at your own risk, a park, ski rental and catering. In addition, there are 20 km of groomed cross-country ski trails and good facilities for a full day on the slopes.

Breimsbygda Ski Center (Gloppen)

The favorite outing on Utvikfjellet, with alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and great summit hiking opportunities.
Breimsbygda Ski Center on Utvikfjellet is a versatile area where you can combine alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and winter hiking in the same area. The ski center is located 630 meters above sea level in Gloppen, just south of the Northfjord.
The resort has 3 ski lifts: a rope lift, a children's lift and a main lift. Here you will find several runs with floodlights - the longest is approx. 960 meters long, with a drop of 250 meters. If you take the main lift to the top, you will have many options in both groomed slopes and loose snow terrain.
