On tour Norway recommends: Top 5 mountain hikes in Bergen

Autumn is a fantastic time for mountain hikes in Bergen and surrounding areas. Here are our top 5 favorites in Bergen and surrounding areas!
1. Dyrdalsrunden to Hausdalshorga from Bontveit

Panoramic hike over the mountains surrounding Dyrdalsvannet. Start from Bontveit, go via Nobbane and Austefjellet, and finish on the airy minibesseggen towards Hausdalshorga before a steep return down into Dyrdalen.
2. Fjelltur til Blåmanen (554 moh)

One of Bergen's seven mountains. From Fløyen, follow the signs via Brushytten, where you can choose a direct route or via Rundemanen. Both are easy and take about the same time. At the top, a panoramic view awaits over the city fjord, Bergensdalen, Ulriken, and Vidden.
3. Gullfjelltoppen (987 moh) fra Osavatn

Highest point in Bergen municipality. From Osavatn, you first walk on a gravel road by Svartavatnet, then on a good path to the rescue cabin. Continue down into the valley, follow the line of cairns to a small lake and up 'Korketrekkeren'. Further via Middagsdalen to the final ascent to the top.
4. Ulskebjørnen (443 moh) fra Stallane

Follow Vinddalsveien through the spruce forest, turn right onto the tractor road marked 'Stallane'. Go to Stallane farm and take the path up to the left before the gate. Gradually steep, but without airy sections. Enjoy the view from the top. Return the same way – or a round trip via the airy path over Vinddalen.
5. Bratt rute til Flåfjellet (418 moh) i Fana

Start from Dyngeland and follow the road towards Myrdalsvannet. Turn right at the junction past old garden furniture and follow the clear path via the power poles and Barkehushaugane with cairns. Beyond the 'Blåfjellet' sign, a short climbing section awaits before the mountain ridge and open terrain to the top. Great views towards Fana, Livarden, Ulriken, Løvstakken, and Os. Return the same way.
