Description

The Trivselskogen forest in Sandane is one of Norway's most beautiful prepared trail and outdoor recreation areas, and it is an experience you should not miss!

Here you can freely choose which hike you want in a network that consists of 6 km of beautifully prepared trails. Sherpa stairs, flat, bark path or gravel. In the Kjærlighetsskogen you can hang hearts as a greeting to someone you love. Then you come to Draumekvila, the first day trip cabin with its own library. As you continue up the slope, you come to the Sherpa stairs. After 374 steps you are up at the lookout point 'Utsiken'. Here you have a fantastic view of Sandane and the Nordfjordegga mountain formation on the south shore.

After 700 meters further along the rock formation you will reach the Waterfall Theatre at Holvikefossen. On the way down from the Waterfall Theatre the Sherpas have made 640 steps.

The Trivselskogen is described as a public health project where the goal is to open up nature and get more people out for walks.
