Access

Fra Bergen sentrum kjører du over Kvamskogen til Norheimsund. Derfra kjører du sørover gjennom sentrum til Tørvikbygd. Herfra tar du fergen over til Jondal (20 min). Fra sentrum i Jondal kjører du Fv105 skiltet 'Folgefonna' hele veien opp til Skitrekket. Dette er en bomveg og det koster kr 100,- som inkluderer Parking ved skitrekket.

It is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes drive from Bergen plus ferry time.

Parking

There is good parking at the top by the ski lift.

Description

NB: From 2025 the ski lift will be closed and collapsed.

From the parking lot there are two options. You can strap on your skis and walk up or take the ski lift. We chose the latter which is a significantly easier option. It cost NOK 100,- with the ski lift one way.

From the top of the lift there is a slight climb at the beginning but then it levels out. It is groomed all the way so just follow the markings. It is an easy ski trip and takes about 1 hour from the top of the ski lift to the summit.

På toppen er det 360 graders utsikt og man ser Hardangerjøkulen, Hallingskarvet, Hårteigen, Rosendalsalpene, Fykesundet + mm. Vil anbefale å gå denne turen på en flott sommerdag hvor du vil oppleve en helt magisk stemning.

The trip offers fun downhill skiing. The first part is on the glacier and then in the ski lift. Here it is a good idea to ski in a crisscross pattern and watch out for those who are slaloming/snowboarding.
