Mountain hike to Store Batalden (492 m above sea level)

Mountain hike to the highest peak of all the islands outside the town of Florø.  

Store Batalden offers a fantastic hike with beautiful views. The path to the top is well marked with signs and red paint. The first part goes through two self-closing openings in fences on the south side of the water south of Kvernhushaugen. At Kruken at about 100 meters above sea level. the terrain flattens out before you enter the rough stone wall. Further up to 350 meters above sea level the terrain becomes easier, and over 400 meters the path goes in a steady and pleasant climb towards the top. At the top you will find a large cairn and a fantastic view!
