The tour begins just east of the Åskora power plant, down at Ålfoten.
There is a signposted and marked trail towards the summit of Ålfotbreen. The initial stage takes you through dense forest before moving on over rocky cliffs, crossing streams and finally over snowfields and stone-paved paths.
On the way to the magnificent glacier summit, a cairn suddenly reveals itself in the middle of the landscape. From this marker, there are still 660 meters to the summit. and more than half of this Distance can be walked on bare rock. It is not necessary to enter the glacier, but about 250 meters is all that is required.
At the very top you can admire a fantastic view. The return journey follows the same route down, through varied and challenging terrain, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime.
