The wooden cabins of Gjerstad
The Gjerstad wooden cabins offer wild nature, bustling wildlife and close-up views, either up in the treetops or floating on Lundvann.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow the weather, forest and birdlife to become part of the experience – and the sounds of nature accompany you from evening to morning.
Five cabins set the scene: Vanntårnet and Vannspeilet are floating luxury cabins on the water, with the option of a spa bath and cozy cabin by the fireplace. Kråkeslottet is a three-story treetop cabin with electricity, water, shower and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen. Gjøkeredet and Flåklypa are treetop cabins with solar power (12V), fireplace and candles, sink and water tap inside and outdoor toilet on the ground floor, and Flåklypa is located at the top of Digerdal with miles of views.
At Kråkeslottet, Gjøkeredet and Flåklypa, there are fire pits with grills ready for food and evening entertainment outside, and firewood is included. For the floating cabins Vanntårnet and Vannspeilet, it is the water that sets the mood – a footbridge leads out to the cabin, and a roof terrace with a hot tub invites you to both hot baths and starry skies. At Vannspeilet, a rowboat and SUP board are at your disposal, and it is possible to fish right from the terrace/footbridge.
